Frequently Asked Questions

1) What are the requirements for becoming a DJ?

You must be an admitted degree seeking student at UNF enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Once you fill out a membership interest form you will have to volunteer 2 hours at the station. Then you will be trained 1-2 hours each with the technical director, promotions director, and then a senority DJ. You will be required to shadow a senior DJ as he or she sets up and breaks down a remote on campus if you plan to DJ events on campus. Afterwards you will be given the opportunity to have your own show permitting an open spot exists on the program schedule board.

2) Do you have to be a communications major to join or have a show?

No. Osprey Radio accepts all majors. Everyone will be trained on how to use the equipment.

3) What type of music do you guys play?

We are a diversified station and all genres are welcomed. Our prime time  program schedule focuses on college rock, but our DJs are welcomed to play any genre that they feel as long as the lyrics meet FCC standards.

 4) How can I submit my music to Osprey Radio for air play?
